Shimano - 105 CS-R7101 12-speed Cassette
105 R7100 / R7150 – It's A New Day
For the 40th anniversary since its launch in 1982, the 105 series gets its ultimate upgrade with Shimano's electronic Di2 shifting technology. Maintaining the series-typical price level, the precise shifting function, precisely tuned ratios and a reliable braking system thus become accessible to an even wider circle of road cyclists. Because in the tradition of its predecessors, the current 105 is also equipped with the top technologies – such as the wireless cockpit – and first-class features from the state-of-the-art Dura Ace and Ultegra series to enable their riders to discover the road anew, every single day.
Shimano 105 CS-R7100 cassette
With the step of the Shimano 105 components to a 12-speed shifting system, the gear jumps of the cassette are also correspondingly smaller. Thus, the fine, revised gradation of the CS-R7100-12 sprocket set ensures not only optimal acceleration in all situations, but also excellent efficiency, so that no pedaling energy is lost.
Even under maximum load, with the CS-R7100 faster shifting processes are possible, which at the same time feel so smooth that gear changes are hardly noticeable. With a ratio of 11 to 34 teeth, moreover, neither sprints on the flat nor steep climbs are a hurdle. In addition, the 12-speed cassette is also compatible with Shimanos previous 11-speed freewheel bodies
