SRAM - GXP Press Fit Bicycle Bottom Bracket (Specialized OS 84.5)
With PressFit you get low weight and strength and the simplicity of PressFit technology. The key difference between PressFit and GXP is how the bearings are fitted into the frame. PressFit bearings are housed in nylon cups, which are simply pressed into the frame's bottom bracket shell. There are no snap rings required! No more spacers or wavy washers! The PressFit GXP OSBB system is designed for SRAM GXP spindle cranksets and requires a 42mm inner diameter bottom bracket shell and 84.5mm case width. Advantages of the bottom bracket system are the lighter weight, greater bearing durability and stiffness, easier installation and adjustment.
Note: The PressFit GXP bottom bracket is only compatible with Specialized frames constructed for the OSBB bottom bracket standard.
